Version 2.0 HDMI Cable 5 Metre Length with Gold Connectors and Triple Shielding

This 5 metre HDMI cable provides extended reach for connecting home entertainment devices while maintaining signal integrity through its construction. Designed for use with gaming consoles like PS3 and Xbox as well as high-definition televisions, it focuses on practical connectivity solutions for typical living room arrangements. The cable's multiple shielding layers work to minimise electromagnetic interference that can affect picture and sound quality. With its specific 5 metre length, it bridges the gap between shorter cables that may not reach and longer cables that might be unnecessary for most setups, offering a balanced solution for mid-range distance requirements between your entertainment components.

Features and Construction

The HDMI cable incorporates several design elements aimed at reliable signal transmission over its 5 metre span. Each component contributes to maintaining audio and visual quality between connected devices.

Material and Build

The cable uses tinned copper for its wire core, providing consistent electrical conductivity essential for high-definition signal transmission. Connectors feature gold-plated contacts designed to resist corrosion and maintain stable connections over repeated use. Triple-layer shielding combines aluminum foil, Mylar, and braid to protect against electromagnetic interference that could degrade signal quality. An environmentally friendly PVC outer cover encloses the internal components while offering flexibility for routing around furniture or entertainment units.

Size and Practical Fit

With its 5 metre length, this cable accommodates typical distances between wall-mounted televisions and media consoles placed on shelves or in cabinets. This specific measurement positions it between shorter cables that may strain to reach and longer cables that create excess coiling. The length allows for neat routing along skirting boards or behind furniture while maintaining signal integrity through its construction. Available in multiple length options from 0.5 metres to 15 metres, this particular version addresses the common requirement for mid-range connectivity in home entertainment setups.

Uses and Placement

The HDMI cable serves as a connection bridge between various entertainment devices in both gaming and general home theatre applications.

Event or Professional Use

While primarily designed for home entertainment, the cable's 5 metre length and shielding make it suitable for temporary setups like gaming events or presentations where consoles or media players need connection to displays. The triple-layer shielding helps maintain signal quality even in environments with multiple electronic devices that could cause interference. Gold-plated connectors provide reliable mating even with repeated setup and teardown cycles common in temporary installations.

Everyday Home Use

For residential applications, this cable connects gaming consoles like PS3 and Xbox to high-definition televisions for immersive gaming experiences. It also serves general home theatre purposes, linking media players, set-top boxes, or sound systems to displays. The 5 metre length accommodates furniture arrangements where components aren't directly adjacent, such as wall-mounted televisions with consoles placed in media units below. The construction maintains signal integrity over this distance without requiring signal boosters or repeaters for typical home setups.

Benefits and Buying Value

The cable offers practical advantages through its specific construction and length selection for common entertainment scenarios.

Reuse and Low Maintenance

Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion that can develop from environmental exposure, potentially extending usable lifespan compared to standard connectors. The triple-layer shielding helps maintain signal quality over time by protecting against interference that might increase as home environments accumulate more electronic devices. The environmentally friendly PVC outer cover provides durability against casual handling while allowing the cable to be coiled for storage between uses or when rearranging entertainment systems.

Why Choose This Product

This HDMI cable combines a specifically useful 5 metre length with construction features aimed at maintaining signal quality over that distance. The triple shielding addresses potential interference in typical home environments with multiple electronic devices. Gold-plated connectors offer practical corrosion resistance rather than purely cosmetic appeal. For users needing to bridge moderate distances between gaming consoles or media players and displays, this cable provides a balanced solution without the excess of longer cables or limitation of shorter options. Its construction focuses on the functional requirements of reliable high-definition signal transmission rather than unnecessary premium features.
